Eye Concealer Done Easy

eyeconcealer

Concealer (also called under eye concealer) is used to hide blemishes, birthmarks, dark under eye circles, acne, redness and any other strong discolorations on the face or body.

This stuff has a stronger pigment to it than regular foundation so you probably don't need to use a lot of it. It comes in three forms: stick, creme (which comes in a little jar) and liquid (which comes in a squeeze tube, or a tube with a wand like lipgloss).

Concealer Types

1. Green counteracts redness. This one is good to cover acne.

2. Blue counteracts orange tones. This will help if you used a bad self-tanner on your face.

3. Yellow counteracts blue tones. If some veins are too close to the skin surface, this should help you eliminate that bluish color. Also, corrects dark under-eye circles.

4. Lilac counteracts yellow tones. This works for lifting a sallow complexion.

Unless you have a serious discoloration that you would like to cover, I suggest using a normal skin tone concealer. Remember, I'm all about simplicity. If you need different concealers for different problem areas then by all means, do so.

Don't buy the lightest concealer you can find. That'll end up bringing attention to the problem area. Instead choose a color that's one or two shades lighter than your normal skin tone. This works best for under the eye and around the mouth.

An excellent high-end concealer is
Prescriptives Camouflage Cream.

A great drugstore brand is CoverGirl Invisible Cream Concealer.

Both of these are listed in Allure Magazine's Best of Beauty Hall of Fame. Can I pick 'em or what.
