Lip Stain and Lipgloss Done Easy

lipgloss1

Lip stain gives lips a hint of color. Lipgloss makes lips wet and sexy! That glossy shimmer adds glamour to the lips and keeps them moisturized. You can wear it alone, over lipliner or over your favorite lipstick.

NOTE: Gloss add volume to your lips. It makes them look fuller. So, if you already have full lips, use it sparingly.

Gloss Tips

1. Apply gloss to the center of your bottom lip. If you use it all over, your lips might look too goopy. If that happens, just blot lightly with a tissue.

2. If you're wearing gloss alone, put on some lip balm underneath to set the color.

3. I've heard that glosses with glitter and shimmer would be better for evening or special occasions. But I feel life is short. So if everyday is a special occasion for you, wear your glitter!

You might now by now that I'm a fan of drugstore makeup. But I must give credit to some of the high-end brands when it's due. I love makeup, no matter where it comes from. The M.A.C. has a gloss that won the Allure Magazine readers' choice award. It's called Lustreglass Lip Gloss in Pinkarat. It "looks bubblegum bright in the tube but mellows to a sheer, sophisticated pink on lips."

As Allure states: "A beauty-product recommendation from a friend is perfectly nice. One from thousands of Allure readers, however, is priceless." ....I say Sweeeet!

Stain Tips

1. Stains are supposed to be semi-permanent colors that dry to a matte finish.

2. Apply your lip stain with its provided brush. Start in the middle of the top lip and move to each corner. For the bottom lip, go from one corner to the other. Just like you would put on lipstick.

3. Try wearing the stain under a lipstick of a similar color. You won't have to reapply your lipstick as often because the stain would show as a base color.

Brands to try:
1. Vincent Longo Pearlessence Gel Stains For Lips and Cheeks. This stain is cool because it can be used on lips and cheeks.

2. Vincent Longo Lip Stain with SPF 15 Lipstick in Americana Americana won Allure Magazine's Best of Beauty Award. I know it looks like a lipstick but it is, in fact, a lip stain.

Stains always fade away pretty soon for me, so I'm not a big fan. But, that could be the way my lips react to them. Try them out for yourself. They should last most of the day and the look really natural
