Lipstick Color Done Easy
Finding the right lipstick color can be difficult, to say the least. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or a seasoned makeup veteran.
Okay, I'm going to admit it. I have a big drawer full of lipsticks. Some that don't look so good on me. Some that look terrible. I can't bring myself to throw them away. Still, I find myself hunting for new shades.
Just when I think I've found a couple of shades that suit me, the seasons change and brand new colors become available. If manufacturers would stop making new shades in EVERY BRAND, maybe I'd be all right.
With these guidelines, perhaps I can save one of you from the same fate.
Test lipsticks on your fingertip instead the back of your hand. The color is closer to your lips.

To check the undertone, stroke some lipstick color on a white piece of paper. You'll see a primary color and a second color. The second color is the undertone.
If you're wearing heavy or dramatic eye makeup, the lips should be understated with a neutral color. If you're wearing a bold lip color, the eye makeup should be understated.
If you've read any other of my pages, then you know what I'm going to say. Makeup should make YOU feel good.
What I've given you is a lipstick color guideline. If you want a bold eye and a bold lip, do it. Wear whatever color makes you feel gorgeous and love it!
