Mascara Tips Done Easy

mascara1mascaramascara2

Every woman wants long, thick eyelashes. My mascara tips will help you get them even if you're not born with them.

No eye makeup looks complete without beautiful lashes. Also longer, fuller lashes give the eye a more open, bright and youthful appearance.

If you've never used this before, then thin short brushes are best. They let you reach those small lashes in the inner corners of the eye. As you gain experience and confidence, don't be afraid to try some of the larger, wider wands. They result in fewer strokes and might save a little time.

What you will need:
1. mascara
2. eyelash curler
3. eyelash comb

Black is the most popular color and looks good on all women but if you have blonde or red lashes then you might try a dark brown for a more natural look. I love CoverGirl Volume Exact Mascara. It really doesn't clump.

Other brands to try:

1. Lancôme DÉFINICILS High Definition Mascara

2. Maybelline Great Lash Washable Mascara

3. Kiss Me Mascara

Use an eyelash curler BEFORE continuing. If an eyelash curler is used after mascara, eyelashes could be broken off or come out entirely.

How to apply.

1. Dab the wand on a tissue before applying to get rid of clumps and blobs.

2. Start on the underside of the top row of lashes. Use a mirror placed at the nose level to get a clear view of this area. Place the wand as close to the lash line as possible. Wiggle it left and right a little then move it slowly upward through the lashes to the tips.

3. Let them dry for a minute and apply a second coat.

4. If lashes start to stick together, comb through them with an eyelash comb.

5. Apply to bottom row of lashes with same method. Hold wand at lash line, wiggle and glide down to lash tips.

For a more natural look, try one coat only.
For the smokey eye, try 2-3 coats on both upper and lower lid.
For the dramatic eye, try 2-3 coats on top and one on the bottom.
